XXXII Minsk International Film Festival Listapad
2026 edition of the Regal Film Festival and Awards (REFFA)
Zimbabwean filmmakers are invited to submit their films to the 2026 edition of the Regal Film Festival and Awards (REFFA), a festival dedicated to celebrating African storytelling, creativity, and excellence in filmmaking. REFFA provides a platform for filmmakers across Africa to showcase their work, engage with industry professionals, and gain international recognition.
Why Submit?
Selected filmmakers will have the opportunity to:
- Showcase their films before an international audience.
- Participate in film screenings and awards activities.
- Network with filmmakers, producers, distributors, and industry experts from across Africa.
- Attend workshops, masterclasses, and panel discussions on filmmaking, funding, writing, and production.
Eligible Categories
Filmmakers may submit works in the following categories:
- Feature Films
- Short Films (up to 10 minutes)
- Documentaries
- Animation
- Student Films
- Television Series
- YouTube Productions
- Indigenous Language Films
- Other award categories including acting, cinematography, editing, screenplay, sound, visual effects, and related achievements.
Submission Requirements
Films submitted should:
- Have been completed between 2024 and 2026.
- Include English subtitles if the film is not in English.
- Be accompanied by a trailer and poster.
- Be submitted by filmmakers who own or have secured all necessary rights for music, images, and other copyrighted content.
- Have a maximum running time of 120 minutes.
Submission Deadline
Closing Date: 3 August 2026
All entries must be submitted no later than 3 August 2026.
Festival Dates
Selected films will be considered for screening and participation in the 2026 REFFA Festival and Awards programme, with notifications expected in October 2026 and the festival taking place in December 2026.

About REFFA
The Regal Film Festival and Awards (REFFA) is an African film festival and awards platform that seeks to promote the uniqueness, artistry, and creativity of African filmmaking while creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and industry growth.
Zimbabwean filmmakers are encouraged to seize this opportunity to share their stories with Africa and the world. Submit your film before 3 August 2026.
28th International Art Competition "Joy of Europe"
The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) invites young Zimbabwean artists, preschools, schools, children’s art studios, and cultural centres to participate in the 28th International Art Competition “Joy of Europe”. This prestigious competition is a celebration of creativity and cultural exchange, offering learners a platform to showcase their artistic talents at an international level.
Competition Details:
- Eligibility: Children and young artists aged 4 to 18 years.
- Theme: Open/Free topic. Artworks should capture the unique qualities of the Zimbabwean environment, expressed through motifs, mood, and sensibilities that reflect our local cultural heritage. (Avoid generic/stereotypical representations and pronounced national, political, or religious messages).
- Accepted Techniques: Works on paper in various techniques (pencil, watercolor, tempera, gouache, aquarelle, pastel, Indian ink, collage, combined techniques).
- Size & Format: Maximum size is A3 format (297 x 420 mm).
- Originality: Works must be original, done without assistance, created in 2025 or 2026, and never exhibited before in other international competitions.
- Submission Limit: Individual participants may send up to 3 works. Institutions/associations may send up to 20 works by different authors.
How to Submit Your Artworks:
All physical artworks must be mailed directly to the organizers in Serbia. Each work must have the official competition form attached and filled out legibly in printed letters.
